The minimum standard for APA 7 referencing includes in-text citations, figure/table notes and a reference list.

By citing and referencing the information used in your Lecture notes/slides you will make it easy for other staff and your students to check the facts and ideas in your work more easily, you will be acting with academic integrity. If you have any queries with regards to referencing please reach out to the library team. Basic Reference Templates

Book

Author(s) of book – family name and initials. (Year). Title of book - italicised. Publisher.  DOI if available or web address if

      accessed outside of the Endeavour Library.

Example:

Nilson, L. B., & Goodson, L.A. (2021). Online teaching at its best: Merging instructional design with teaching and learning research (2nd. ed.)Wiley. 


Edited Book 

Editor(s) of book – family name and initials, use & for multiple editors. (Ed. or Eds.). (Year). Title of book       

      - italicised. Publisher. DOI if available or web address if accessed outside of the Endeavour Library.

Example:

Elia, M., Ljungqvist, O., Stratton, R. J., Lanham-New, S. A., & Dowsett, J. (Eds.). (2013). Clinical nutrition. Wiley-Blackwell.


Chapter in an Edited Book 

Author(s) of chapter – family name and initials, use & for multiple authors. (Year). Title of chapter. In Editor(s) – initial(s) and

      family name - of book (Ed. OR Eds.), Title of book – italicised (pp. Page numbers). Publisher.

      DOI if available or web address if accessed outside of the Endeavour Library.

Example:

      italicised, Volume – italicised(Issue or number), Page number(s). DOI address OR Web address (if no DOI available)
