***Mendeley is currently undergoing changes as they move to their cloud based app "Mendeley Reference Manager"*** If you are just starting on your reference software journey the library team recommends using Zotero until Mendeley has ironed out their kinks. If you have been using Mendeley and want to switich to Zotero you can import your entire Mendeley library into Zotero. If you want to continue using Mendeley Desktop the software will remain available to current users but will stop updating from the 1st September 2022. The below video is specifically for the "Mendeley Desktop" software. If you are using the new "Mendeley Reference Manager" you can find more information and tutorials on the Mendeley website. |
Mendeley is a free desktop app citation tool that can help you manage references. It also integrates with Microsoft Word.
All computers at our Endeavour Libraries have Mendeley installed. Before getting started it is strongly recommended that you read the Mendeley Tips 'n' Tricks and/or watch the the video tutorial below. Additionally, the Library runs Mendeley webinars each month (see the library homepage for the current schedule).
Mendeley is not compatible with Mac software. We recommend students using Mac devices use Zotero as a reference manager.
